“These pains you feel are messengers. Listen to them” -Rumi
Jackie O’Neil, MSW, LCSW, RYT 200
We all need help at various times in our lives and there are many reasons people seek counseling.
It can be daunting and scary to share your inner world with someone. Doing so in a safe environment can also be incredibly freeing. Whether you’re wanting to heal old wounds, break unhealthy patterns, or create more self-awareness, participating in therapy can be a transformative step.
It’s important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. Feel free to reach out for a free 20-minute initial consultation to see if we’re a good fit. If not, I’m happy to help with local recommendations.

About Me

I am first and foremost just like everybody else—an imperfect human trying to navigate this crazy thing called life. I am passionate about personal growth and healing and believe everyone deserves a safe space to explore their inner world.
I am integrative and collaborative in my approach and my aim is to support you in reaching your goals. My theoretical background is grounded in psychodynamics, attachment theory, mindfulness, and somatic experiencing. I specialize in trauma work and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of North Carolina and Florida and have both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work with concentrations in Women’s Studies and Family Systems. As a trauma informed yoga teacher, I offer classes that guide people in safely exploring and deepening their relationship to Self.

Testimonials from Former Clients
“I met Jackie when I was broken, scared and without direction. I had been in therapy before, but there was something different this time around. Jackie challenged me in a way that promoted growth and self-love. She was nonjudgmental and helped me forgive myself after years of self-sabotage and regretful events. She helped me find direction when I thought I would remain perpetually lost. Jackie has an energy about her that is warm and honest. She never sugar-coated anything, yet her words were always kind. She is an incredible therapist and working with her changed my life.”
“I worked with Jackie almost three years ago. Beginning therapy, I had much trepidation in opening up honest parts of myself. However, Jackie’s quiet nature and compassionate ability to listen was the catalyst to an amazing exchange of trust and truth. Her ability to call me out on my darkest parts of myself in a kind way was something I had never experienced in therapy before. The way she gave feedback allowed me to begin problem solving for myself and come to new realizations. I am forever grateful for her and lucky to have her in my support network still today!“
